3% of defense spending seems a bargain when perhaps 40% of our $800 billion defense budget is designed to keep Russia in line. Unfortunately, MAGAs have done a repudiation of the Reagan Doctrine, and secretly support Putin (their white supremacist, free speech suppressing, military dream state). Of course, they claim that their opposition to Ukrainian support is for "budget" reasons. Best to hope that this war bankrupts Russia while hoping Trump loses.
