A "concentration of both venomous and non-venomous snakes"? At first I thought that was a description of our current US Congress!

What about the North Sentinel Island people, who to this day treat would-be visitors with a hail of arrows (are they actually quite smart given the track record of missionaries, geologists, and colonials?)
