As another responder said, the 1976 "Paul Lynde Halloween Special" was hard to beat for cringeworthy cheesiness. Guests were the Wicked Witch of the West (Margaret Hamilton), H.R. Pufnstuf, Rock band Kiss, Tim Conway, and the ubiquitous Mrs. Brady (Florence Henderson), Donny & Marie Osmond, and Betty White. It even has its own Wikipedia entry and was widely available on DVD. It has a "can't look away", Ed Woodian appeal for about 30 min. Will anthropologists be studying this special 1000 years hence? I guess it also goes to show that you couldn’t swing a dead cat around in a 70s TV studio without hitting one of the Bradys, Donnie and/or Marie?
