Exactly. Here are my attempts at explaining the inflammation phenomenon: https://scottvern.medium.com/the-rogue-immune-system-hall-of-fame-29bd81044152 and https://scottvern.medium.com/immune-systems-need-to-be-wired-with-volume-control-de2a25d97521 It would seem that medicine is evolving from broadly muting immune systems in the elderly (through diet, exercise, statins, turmeric, metformin, other natural mTOR inhibitors) to agents that selectively mute tumor necrosis, interleukins, neutrophils, etc (along with diet and exercise). Humira would be one example, but I sense a flood of them are coming, costly with questionable efficacy (see https://scottvern.medium.com/the-dangerous-righty-lefty-pharmaceutical-punch-ef0a4478dc1e ) Some are taking Rapamycin but there seems the danger of "too much muting of the inflammatory system". There are few tests to monitor levels of inflammation, but I suppose CRP, blood glucose, cholesterol, and BMI might be general indicators? If neutophil count gets too low, there's trouble?
