Generally, these threads come down to something like "could Chinese missiles take out US Carriers", and if US Subs are also dominant, would they be able to prevent a Chinese blockade of Taiwan. With many world conflicts settling into Cold War type stalemates, our large military may remain a show of force for awhile. Yet a full-on US-China military conflict (not good for either country, or the world), might decide the future of all military equipment. The "simulations" are interesting, it would seem that the US and its allies have the advantage, even while playing in China's home-court. Sims note US ultimate aircraft victory, but we need to be wary of China's cyberwarfare (signal and satellite jamming) and advanced missile tech.
