Good answer. Russian did develop a capitalistic model, albeit a rather warped one. I wonder what the Marshall Plan did to encourage good government in Germany after WW2? It may have been heavy handed for West to intervene in the 90s, it seemed Gorbachev/Yeltsin were on right track. A foolish Nationalism seemed to take hold, appearing to not realize they have more to lose from China than the West. The thanks we get for WW2 lend lease, giving them bomb & being so friendly in 90s.
