Hard to understand what is behind all of this...certainly there are some small kernals of truth (I mean who denies that some levels of "family values", "freedom", virtues of "speaking English" are good) but this has run so far off the rails, is silly, yet proliferates. Obviously a cult-like acceptance of Nationalistic and Evangelical xenophobia driven by Trump/Stone/Alex Jones et al lies but it even goes beyond that. Almost a primal upwelling of male styling that wants to start killing to justify itself (a formula for many wars of the past?)

Just got back to Bangkok from Cambodia yesterday...the 80s Khmer Rouge a chilling reminder of what happens when souped-up, idiot males want to "cleanse" a county. Let's hope Merrick Garland can hang a few indictments on the Jan 6th people, and that rational Republicans regain control of their foaming at the mouth fascist wing!
