I suspect that when talking about inflammation, stress, and sleep (for instance), "happy mediums" need to be brought up:

1) I believe that too much stress is bad, but not enough stress (boredom) may be even worse? The term "healthy levels of stress" may be needed, some sort of "challenging activities that don't go overboard". (Hey! Is there an article in that one?)

2) Rogue inflammation is bad (Some level of innappropriate tumor necrosis factor, interleukin, neutrophils, etc) brought on by bad diet and lack of exercise, but of course we need to be reminded that if we were to turn off the inflammatory system, that would be worse. So many unknowns here...what are the "right" amounts? What are the markers?

3) Not enough sleep is bad, too much sleep probably just as bad?

You get the idea! Apparently I'm the first to get your daily feed (a compliment) but readers may soon want the nuance, not just the "this is good, this is bad". I know, its tough to do a daily medical post!
