The Bible could and should be re-interpreted to avail itself of logic (best chance, the reconciling features of the "New Covenant") but too often gives in to mysticism. (I guess mysterious Trinitarian logic empowers the priesthood, while providing a Holy Spirit that makes Pentecostals happy).
