I watched the "Black Mirror" episode. I wonder if in 20 years, people will look upon WW II as "quaint" and in terms of "limited body counts". What may be about to happen is machines struggling against each other on the fronts, while population centers are ravaged/terrorized by drones and robot dogs (which defy all barriers). As killing machines, they may make even missiles seem old-fashioned.
