It seems capitalism with a reasonable safety net (which makes people earn the safety net) is the best solution. Capitalism does create some exploitation, but it is rather self-correcting in an educated society (it is ready to solve environmental problems if there's a profit, if not "cap and trade" is reasonable). European Social Democracies got the economic bump from post WW II progress, not clear if it is sustainable. Big question is can educated consumers reign in Capitalist monster or do they need government nanny state to do it for them (I vote mostly for the former, and I'm a Democrat).
