Many have noted the stark contrast between Jesus and the self-righteous (who must account for about half of the world's "sin"?) A big market for weak churches to incorporate back seat drivers. Note here that Jesus never went to church.

1) Jesus is almost a libertarian free will concept (almost like the premise of our Country). As Nietzsche implies (chorus of boos from self-righteous in background), Jesus' free will is best applied energetically w risk-taking (ie service to the poor, risking the ire of the moneyed overlords).

2) I'm descended from early Americans Anne Hutchinson and Roger Williams. Hutchinson almost invented "free grace" (a kind of salvation free from church middlemen), while Williams almost invented the "1st Amendment Jesus", choosing to believe the Old Testament was imperfect and awaiting Jesus to make it all right (basically getting the rules people off our backs, refocusing on service and grace)

3) As such, my everything is "What would Jesus do?" None of us are sure as we are doomed to "sin" (not exactly knowing what Jesus would do), but we should know that vigorous free will applications of faith, forgiveness, redemption, humility, non-judgemental-ness are at the core.
