Russia's aggressive and offensive actions have really justified NATO (which was always defensive). Soon China will engage in similar expansionist activities testing the defenses and alliances of surrounding smaller nations. To me, this is right-wing Russian apologist crap that may be rooted in White-Supremacy and Trump-style Biden-baiting. You try and pin the blame on the US, Biden, and the West but from where I'm sitting our biggest "sin" is that we have popular forms of government (democracy and capitalism) that seems to have created a giant envy with Russia and China, who thirst for large land grabs to get even. They know their systems would never win in a popular vote, so they choose to rule by bullying, intrigue, and conquest, which doesn't work in the long run. I do somewhat agree that "news" of Ukraine's successful resistance may be somewhat skewed by wishful thinking. It seems to me that whatever military shortcomings Russia has may be overcome by successful continuous bombardment, which creates a dilemma for NATO.
