Sorry to belabor the point, but this article is EXTREMELY interesting, in that some vaccines may go well beyond protecting us from the targeted malady.

As a writer and MD, I'm not sure if you can delve into the "what might be true" in the health world, but as a non-MD, I certainly can! Often, I read your postings and am getting the news for the 2nd or 3rd time (as I voraciously read Science and sometimes Nature, for instance). Nevertheless, I'm glad you're putting it out there, yet I'm eager for you or someone else to take it one step beyond.

All considered, a big thread these days (vis a vis anti-vaxxers) might be "not only are vaccines good, but they are evolving to almost eradicate all disease and suffering". I suppose a caution that all vaccines are different and new vaccines should be duly evaluated for safety/efficacy needs to be added.

To add to this article specifically, a herpes family vaccine specifically might reduce some cancers? (associations with some brain cancers suspected?)

In any case, keep up the good work!
