Thank you (or should I say "yew") for the info on Medieval longbow archers. I've been studying Medieval warfare recently in anticipation of a July visit to England, just discovered a site listing participants in 1300s "100 Years War", some my ancestors. In addition to helping the English win at Poitiers and Crecy, some were stationed on ships (see https://www.medievalsoldier.org/database/ )
I've visited Hastings and Bannockburn (great museum), about to visit Assandun, Colchester Siege, Maldon, Verulamium. If I ever get to France again, Tours and Catalaunian Plains.
What about "plague infected bodies catapulted over sieged city walls?"
