Thanks, I'm WAY-YY past 40, always active but now noticing that I can exercise my way out of most problems. At 66, I was swimming/lifting/ treadmilling/rowing about 6 hrs/wk, working on diet (a kind of low carb & fruit/veggie/lean meat thing), not always sleeping well. Now, since adding protein shakes and upping workout to 9 hrs/wk, I sleep and feel better than ever. I'm wondering now if exercise is everything! At my age, it seems to create a strong effect of inflammation suppression and nitric oxide increase, I feel sharper mentally, have no aches and pains. I also notice that very few my age exercise very much, complain about lack of sleep and aches.
