The '91 Hartman-Carvey-Myers-Farley-Hooks etc cast may have been the best ever, and "Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer" perhaps my favorite sketch. Also an all-star cast of writers, including Handey, Al Franken, Adam Sandler, Conan O'Brien, Tom Davis, Rob Smigel and Bob Odenkirk. Handey seems to have been born from the National Lampoon school of writers, which included Doug Kenney, Michael O'Donoghue, John Hughes, Ann Beats, Tony Hendra, Chris Miller, Christopher Guest, PJ O'Rourke (most of whom wrote for SNL also at some point, many of whom are sadly gone...just like much of the '91 SNL cast).
