The U.S. has a fairly easy path to success if they simply do the following:

1) Maintain extensive worldwide alliances

2) Move manufacture to cooperative countries (like Latin America) at slightly higher prices

3) Resolve the right/left conflict, which includes restoring voting rights & resolving gun violence (which includes background checks, banning high capacity magazines, requiring "well regulated" militia, better security etc)

The Trump-wing of the Republican Party opposes all three measures, and their demonization of foreigners, fantasy of all US manufacture, and insane opposition to gun legislation is part of their not-so-secret bald-faced armed Fascist takeover of our Country.
