The UFOs in Question are Probably Within an Inertia-less Plasma Bubble…
THANK YOU…NEXT QUESTION PLEASE? Some have explained recent UFO sightings confirmed by the US Air Force as in keeping with a US Navy patent taken out in 2016…never mind the fact that the capabilities of this craft are well WELL BEYOND ANY KNOWN TECHNOLOGY AT PRESENT!!! Is there another explanation?
This is the article I did not want to have to write, yet here I am writing it, fulfilling my obligation as a science-writer. Thanks to a recent “60 Minutes” segment, there has been much chatter about our military’s divulgence of many UFO sightings the past several years, describing craft that hovers with no heat or exhaust, changing direction instantaneously, and even appearing to enter ocean waters at extremely high speeds. Could this be a top secret military craft of our (or another nation’s) military? Could it be (gulp) extraterrestrials? Or perhaps even beings from our own future who are checking in on us? Could they be bullshit? Whomever/whatever they are, they appear to be benign thus far, as though they are either on a scouting mission, or trying to make sure we don’t get ourselves into trouble. As a man of science, I will do what scientists do after the math and experimentation are done…make a wild-assed guess! Here, based upon the alleged facts, are the possibilities.
The aircraft in question are top-secret military weapons in test flight: To confirm this would be comforting yet worrisome at the same time, since it would surely usher in a new weapons race with perhaps high stakes. According to author Brett Tingley, the U.S. Military has been working on “anti-gravity” flight for the past 70 years, with big names such as Wright-Patterson AFB, Lockheed Martin, Avro Canada, General Dynamics, and Edward Teller involved. Several concepts discussed were electromagnetism, rotating masses at high speeds, and methods of reducing an aircraft’s mass. The older documents note that “the physics for anti-gravity exist, and if advances in material science can be made, these types of aircraft can be built”. Interestingly, one describes a series of “spheres with charged skins, which could change direction instantaneously without any use of propellant” (which generally fits the description of the Air Force/Navy sightings). The problem with the system was thought to be ambient ions (like the cloud charges which create lightning), which could cancel out the charged sphere, and there is no evidence that any such craft was ever built.
In the late 80s, NASA began working on a “Breakthrough Propulsion Physics (BPP) Program”. Involved with this project was a young PhD candidate named Salvatore Cezar Pais, who later took out a Navy patent in 2016, for an “anti-gravity UFO”, which included a “hybrid aerospace/underwater craft” and “high-energy electromagnetic field generator”, which achieved their results by “altering inertial mass”. Many of these concepts were being researched at Wright-Patterson in the 1950s, and could possibly have reached fruition through Pais. Another Air Force funded study at the University of Florida in 2010 was intended to build a “Wingless Electromagnetic Air Vehicle” or WEAV. Dr. James Woodward of Cal State Fullerton has been successful in altering the mass of a small test material called lead zirconate titanate, or PZT. However, the effects were relatively small and a search allegedly continues for piezoelectric materials that could work on a larger scale. Several authors on the subject speculate that a breakthrough in this research is the most likely explanation for the UFO phenomenon, yet several nagging questions remain: 1) Some sort of material science breakthrough would have to have taken place, or someone would have to have found methods that don’t require these new materials 2) The military right hand must not know what the left hand is doing, if the pilots’ testimonies are correct? 3) There may be few people in on this discovery, which is perhaps in its early stages, though “60 Minutes” reports that these particular sightings have been reported by our jets for over ten years. 4) Though the 2016 patent claims seem consistent with phenomena that has been reported, a craft with this technology seems to have come suspiciously too-far, too-fast 5) If this is man-made technology, then how could it have remained a secret for so long? 6) The Compact Fusion Reactor alone (another Pais patent, apparently used in powering the craft) would revolutionize power generation…yet details remain vague and there are many skeptics. These reports are disinformation to make us believe this spacecraft exists: Since most all of these reports are from Air Force and Navy pilots, and the technology to build anti-gravity ships was probably lagging, Military brass did the next best thing…they made up stories about said craft, and had pilots “confirm” the stories. This might serve the purpose of unnerving our enemies and creating an impetus (and investment) to build the REAL anti-gravity things (especially during an administration like Trump’s, which was prone to lying to achieve ends). Another possibility is that someone has invented some kind of hologram or computer interloper, that can fool pilots/others into “seeing” this amazing craft.
The observations are an illusion created by known technology: Science-fiction writer Mick West believes that 1) The supposed high speeds and sudden movements perceived could have been created by sudden movements of the cameras used 2) Images of rapidly spinning objects can be made by infrared glare 3) A photo or video of a regular plane, photographed with a) night vision b) triangular apertures c) out of focus lenses d) views through contrail distortions e) bad camera angles/vantage points creating illusionary effects, or f) combinations of a-e, could create the images seen. West and others have debunked several UFO “sightings”, including one by the Chilean Navy (which turned out to be another plane). (West, 2021)
The space vehicle(s) observed are from an extraterrestrial civilization: According to the Fermi Paradox (which states that though there are very likely many extraterrestrial civilizations, the probabilities of them reaching Earth are remote due to the distance and difficulties of space travel), the sightings are probably not alien craft. Scientific American (which has traditionally held a skeptical view of UFOs being space aliens) believes that the sightings are likely a) A hoax b) Other natural phenomenon, such as reflected light or c) Psychological mirage-like things (by pilots who have been in the air too long). However, the “60 Minutes” testimonies seem too precise and numerous for a),b), and c) to account for all sightings. A curious thing is the sighted craft’s proximity to military aircraft and ships, as though they are monitoring or perhaps planning interventions of some sort. There is no testimony to the effect that the sighted craft are threatening, although there is surely a small sample size here. Another thing of note is the lack of precision regarding radar pickup and photographic evidence, which seem quite sketchy given all our advanced military hardware/software. If these things are real, shouldn’t we have picked up some better evidence of them by now (like a sharper image and a definitive radar trail)? One answer to this may be that these “space ships” are designed to be hard to detect, and sightings are actually screw-ups on the part of the craft-drivers or aliens (who must then use neuralyzers to make us “forget”…whoops! The space vehicles are human time travelers from our own future: I hesitate to even bring this one up, for fear of someone having me committed, but what if future us-es (who would be very interested in us, as we would be their forbearers) are worried that we might be getting ready for an all-out nuclear war and have sent agents to diffuse it? Their motive, of course, would be to keep us from doing it, as it would also wipe them out? It might also explain all the orifice probing going on in alien abductions, as perhaps future uses are having a hard time procreating and need to harvest reproductive parts (either that or they’re future fraternity hazing rituals?) There could also be various combinations of all the above (aliens, military, hoaxes, mirages, future us-es). Naturally, all the zig-zagging, high-speed, and air to water travel technology would be a breeze if you had also invented a time-machine. I know, crazy…but just a thought.
