There seems to be many good, sensible Republicans relegated to the "RINO" bin by the fanatical MAGAs, who continue to enjoy the support of about 30% of the electorate while heading over the political cliff. MAGAs take a kernel of truth and amplify to the ridiculous, ie

1) Perhaps abortion and some trans politics a bit excessive, but do you really want a government police state to monitor/shut down completely?

2) Ok "Defund the Police" was a bad slogan, but what has BLM ever done that was so bad? Police behaving badly, too many guns, not that hard to fix actually. Obviously white racist baiting here, the Bannon "if we make it all about race we win" Southern strategy.

3) Meanwhile, MAGA is selectively, ridiculously partisan, ie Trump trillion $ deficits good, Biden's half trillion bad.

4) Similarly, the immigration bogeyman often employed, when we are quite dependent on blue and white collar foreign labor, many here undereducated and not willing to take those jobs (MAGA people?) That said, Trump didn't deport illegals as he was afraid he'd piss off farmer supporters. "Sanctuary Cities" not good either, bunch of hypocrisy on both sides, waiting for better vetting, amnesty, guest worker solutions.
