There's an old Twilight Zone with the guy that's been alive for 2000 yrs (and all his accompanying woes) that summed it up. I think the best reason to top out at, say 100 yrs, is to give the next generation a chance (evolution). There's also the accompanying "quality of life" issue (is that code for still being able to enjoy sex?)
