This may be off topic, but it would be interesting for you to write about how music from the 50s to the 80s REALLY WAS BETTER than music of today, not just our nostalgia (pre 50s music is also good, but for different reasons, a different topic). Here's an article that discusses this:

I believe put simply, 50s-80s music was drawing from creative garage band/small industry music feeding top 40 disc jockeys who played what people liked (a meritocracy), while in the last 25 years or so, the industry became dominated by corporations and "safe" music.
