True in all aspects:

1) Support for Ukraine now saves us money (and lives) later, as Russia/Axis of Evil (Russia-China-Iran) threatens other Nations.

2) The 50% of Republicans that are against funding may have visions of a similar totalitarian state here (racist, squelched press, jailed political enemies) created with the help of Putin.

3) Axis of Evil trying to turn world against US in Israel-Gaza thing, Johnson/others making it a "if we fund Israel we can't fund Ukraine" issue. Now he's trying to frame it as "if we fund our border and Israel, we can't fund Ukraine". Johnson is a Trump suck up, and Trump a Putin sycophant.

4) Many parallels with US in 30s, when US racists, isolationists, Nazi sympathizers delayed our entry into WW 2, making it bloodier than it had to be.

5) Potential rise of fascism in US well-known. The Sinclair Lewis book "It Can't Happen Here" was written in 1935.

6) Despite delayed entry, we turned back Fascism. My father was lucky to survive B24 crash in Hungary and Great Escape prison camp, otherwise I wouldn't be here to write this warning. https://medium.com/p/ccfce7103ac
