Beware of those that don't get the joke. I was in charge of two Earth Day events in '90 and '91, as I was in the Electric Auto Assoc. and had just initiated recycling. The good were the photovoltaics, electric cars, and other tech people who generally rolled with it, the bad were the woo-woos and extremists who didn't get the ironies or hahas. One guy was telling me how wildlife magically returned after he started killing cats on his farm, and we laughed about having him do a "kill kitty to save the planet" booth. I'm all for the renewables, but yes some myopic and self-righteous human shit in there. True (and kind of dark humor) in that the rest of earth adapts and maybe we don't, my article:
