Wait, this article seems a bit conservative.

1) Sildenafil ia accruing many "off label" uses, for BPH, pulmonary edema, heart disease, etc. Isn't it time to say something like "NO and blood vessel dialation almost certainly has some beneficial effect upon heart, lung, brain, prostate, etc function in elderly patients, if used properly"

2) There is a study* showing 69% less Alzheimers in Sildenafil:

3) My guess is that Sildenafil (now generic) will be repurposed specifically by Pfizer someday for these various other maladies, as there is no money for them in off-label uses.

4) You'd think they would be massive clinical trials for these other uses, and remember that Sildenafil has been used for decades by many old men, with few side effects.
