We watch Maher each week. Though Harris "won" the debate, the polls haven't changed that much. It seems people have settled in to their various political camps, but that Trump is suffering a slow decline, perhaps mostly because he's now the doddering "old guy" in a Nation where young voters are stepping up. Indeed, this may be the last gasp of "old white guys" in America, who are being eclipsed by increasingly younger and more ethnic voters. Maher might be the first to note that what's helped the old white guy surge, was the Dems alleged failure to stand up to the perceived "PC-Feminist-LGBT-Abortion-Drug-Atheism-Crime Bogeyman" (all mostly social phenomena, often beyond the reach of politicians). I often wonder how much MAGAs even understand/care about immigration, economics, healthcare, abortion, it seems "Orange Jesus" had them believing (ala conspiracy theories) the richer libertine "elites" were taking their bacon. Now Trump is slowly wearing it out, just like McCarthy's Red Scare in the late 50s. Let's hope he doesn't have enough gas in the tank to win 4-5 swing states.
