With all the Nationalist posturing, one wonders if a coordinated 1930s moment (Invasions of Manchuria & Poland) is about to happen. These things could happen soon and simultaneously (solutions in parenthesis)

1) Russia/Belarus invades Poland (NATO has reason to take war to Russia proper w superior weaponry, stalemate continues in Ukraine, NATO forces overrun Belarus, Russia begins turning attention to "Stans" which are being gobbled up by PRC)

2) Iran and allies invade Israel (US-Israeli-Arab alliance takes war to Iran proper, US angles for Iranian regime change to help manage ISIS and radical Sunnis)

3) N Korea invades S Korea (US-Japan alliance crushes Pyongyang, some kind of unified Korea emerges)

4) PRC invades Taiwan (US-Japan-Philippine-Australian alliance creates stalemate, Taiwanese industry moved to US, PRC suffers from shipping loss, PRC gains Taiwan at great cost)

Of course, the spectre of nuclear war hangs over all this, but currently the West has the East outgunned.
